The food, service and ambience was incredibly authentic! The portions are very large so come hungry. They have a salsa station with a variety of salsas that were delicious.
The quesadilla with chicken and guacamole, sour cream and sweet corn cake with onions and green peppers was amazing! I enjoyed the bean dip and chips that the serve complementary was outstanding. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the United States. I'm sad that I didn't take a picture, it was worth every bite.
When they are open it is the best food in Marion. Friendly staff and freshly prepared food. If you like Mexican cuisine your taste buds will thank you

Oh my goodness, what a Yelp find. Hungrey onm I -40, we did not want to wait until we go home - consult Yelp, of course. Great ratings - we passed 2 other Mexican spots that looked really good and I was wondering if I made a mistake when we pulled up to Jalapeno, not what I was expecting, but Yelp has never led me wrong. Place was busy and the food - WOW - Excellent food!! I had the Fajita Burrito, a new twist for sure and it was fantastic. Big enough for a meal for 2 - $11.00!!!!!!!! She had the Enchilada Verde - as good as any we have enjoyed in Mexico. Great staff, restaurant was clean. Worth the drive from Asheville - we will definitely be back very soon!!
We were visiting the area and decided to grab dinner here based on the good reviews. This restaurant seems to be a local favorite. The portions are huge and the prices are pretty cheap so that makes it worth a visit! They only serve beer and micheladas, no wine or margaritas. After we munched on the complementary warm chips and bean dip, we ordered the steak flautitas appetizer and steak fajitas for one (to share). Both were good but not amazing.
Extremely fresh, authentic food with a south Cali flair. After hundreds of meals, I've yet to leave unimpressed with the fresh taste, presentation and high quality ingredients. I highly recommend this place for a great Mexican meal!
"Don't judge a book by its cover" Just go !!! It was our first time here and we chose it based off some menu picks online! It does not disappoint!!! We enjoyed everything and may have just discovered our new favorite Mexican restaurant!
